Hadiya

A landing page for a fintech startup building ethical investing, zakat calculation and savings into one product - trust was the entire brief.

Hadiya

A public landing page for Hadiya, an Islamic-finance startup combining investing, zakat and savings. Built on Next.js and Tailwind, with the copy structure doing as much work as the visual design.

Problem

A fintech landing page has one job: make someone comfortable enough to hand over money. Hadiya's audience adds a second requirement - the product has to be demonstrably compliant with Islamic finance principles, not merely marketed as ethical. That is a claim with a specific meaning, and vague treatment of it is worse than no treatment, because the audience will notice.

The brief was therefore about credibility under two independent standards at once.

What it does

Communicates the three-part product - investing, zakat, savings - in a single scroll, explains what makes the instruments permissible, and drives to app downloads. Mobile-first, because the audience is mobile-first.

How it's built

Next.js and Tailwind, with Motion for scroll-linked reveals. The structural decision was hierarchy over decoration: a single clear value statement, then the compliance explanation, then the product surfaces, then trust signals, in that order, because the compliance question is the objection that stops the conversion and burying it below the fold wastes the visit.

Two constraints shaped the design. Financial products cannot be funny, so the warmth had to come from typography and spacing rather than voice. And the religious dimension had to be handled precisely - the vocabulary is specific, and paraphrasing it to sound better would have been a credibility failure with the exact audience the page exists for. Copy went through the founders rather than being invented at the design stage.
